Vagabond and the trains

Someone once said that Ireland is like a doughnut, with all the sugary bits around the outside. What they meant was that although the middle of Ireland is nice enough, the really scenic areas are around the coastal areas – and of course these are the areas that our tours head to and concentrate on. So in some cases we find that the tours can be enhanced by using the Irish Train network to whisk our customers down to the really good bits on the first morning of a tour, or back on the last afternoon.

Using the train network actually has several major advantages

The tours that sometimes involved a train transfer at the beginning or end of a tour are:
-5 day tour 'To The Edge of the World'
-5 day 'Northern Island' tour
-7 day 'North by North West' Tour
-3 day Adventure West tour (if you are really lucky sometimes we use trains on both directions for this tour and it makes a big difference for such a short trip)

Whenever we do use the train network, we book the passengers onto the train and pay for it and this is included in the price of the tour.

Please note that not all trips use the train network but we will keep you fully informed long before your tour.
